INTRODUCTION

DJ Evert was born in the beautiful province Fryslân in the north of the Netherlands. Since the launch of the voyagers in 1977 his love for music went growing day by day. On his first record player he started to listen to every record he could get his hands on. The 7″ singles from his  parents, the albums of his sister and almost every record of the public Library ended up under the needle.

His musical taste has always been wide. The end of the disco and the starting of the punk. The early days of the house and the bloom of  grunge. The blasting beats of dance and the screaming sounds of metal. Music runs through his veins. Almost 40 years he is a regular visitor of concerts and festivals.

Creating a playlist of songs and mixing them has always been his idea of fun. At first on cassette tapes and later on his own spotify player. Almost 15 years ago he started presenting his first online radio show at Mexico-Radio. This evolved in a weekly Rock and Metal show: “Stampij met DJ Evert” on the Wednesday evening. The first part was rock orientated and the last hour was filled with Black, Death and the most extreme metal on earth.

The Sounds of Earth is happy to announce that DJ Evert is willing to present his legendary radio show on the same day and time it started.
