The Sounds of Earth ONE
Chart of Jupiter. Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, has been known since ancient times and was named after the king of the Roman gods. It rules over an empire of 79 moons, including its princely heirs: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
Jupiter is big, bold, and unstoppable, just like The Rock. Whether it’s dominating Hollywood or commanding the WWE ring, his larger-than-life presence matches the immense gravity of Jupiter.
Jupiter is a gas giant, meaning there’s no solid surface to stand on. Its atmosphere is filled with violent storms like the Great Red Spot, a hurricane that has been raging for over 300 years. With winds over 400 mph (640 km/h) and crushing pressure, survival here is impossible.
NASA’s Juno probe is currently studying Jupiter, revealing that it’s mostly made of hydrogen and helium. The planet might contain metallic hydrogen, a rare substance that could revolutionize energy storage if harvested.
While no place on Earth can match Jupiter’s storms, the Great Red Spot resembles massive Earth hurricanes—only much larger! Chart of jupiter. Chart of jupiter. Chart of jupiter. Chart of jupiter.
A trip to Jupiter takes 5-6 years. Survival would require floating cloud cities high above the storms, but even then, the intense radiation would be a constant threat.
