Chart of Venus. Venus, known since ancient times, is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. However, beneath its bright, cloud-covered exterior lies a planet more like hell than paradise.
Venus is dramatic, intense, and fiercely hot, so its ruler must embody glamour and power. RuPaul, the legendary drag icon, brings the heat, struts through any storm, and owns the stage—just like Venus dominates the sky.
Venus is a death trap. Its surface is hotter than Mercury (465°C/870°F) due to an extreme greenhouse effect. The atmosphere is thick with carbon dioxide and rains sulfuric acid, meaning no human could walk on Venus without instantly being crushed and dissolved.
The Soviet Union’s Venera probes briefly landed on Venus but were destroyed within minutes. However, floating cities in the upper atmosphere, where temperatures are cooler, could one day allow human settlement.
Toxic gases, acidic pools, and blistering heat make this one of the most alien places on Earth—eerily similar to Venus.
A trip to Venus takes 4-5 months. Survival would require living in floating cloud cities about 50km above the surface.
